About Compass Learning

Compass Learning is a trauma-informed, person-centered community dedicated to both prevention and healing. Our programs offer peer support, guidance from mental health professionals, and equine-facilitated learning to meet participants where they are and provide real-world skills they can apply immediately.

Prevention: We help people of all ages learn skills that reduce the risk of harmful patterns, including addiction, risky behaviors, and suicide. Participants may engage in group sessions, one-on-one sessions, and experiential activities with horses and equine specialists, with guidance and support from peer specialists and mental health professionals.  They develop skills such as emotional regulation, identifying feelings, somatic and nervous system awareness, healthy relationship dynamics, and boundaries.

Healing/Support: We also support individuals and groups who have already experienced burn-out,  stress, trauma, loss, or harmful habits. In a safe and supportive community, participants work with peer specialists, mental health professionals, and equine facilitators to rebuild trust in themselves and others, strengthen resilience, and apply practical skills to regain control and create healthier, more meaningful lives.
